1/10

The house that we just moved into in October was just newly renovated.  It had a huge fire a few years ago, and had to be gutted and rebuilt on the inside.  The outside stone walls and the stone fireplace inside are the only remaining original parts of the 200+ year old house.  When we first moved in, I couldn't figure out why the ivy was gone off of the walls in the back of the house.  Our entire yard is covered in ivy, it's growing on everything.  And you could tell it was on the walls at one point, but all that's left now are tiny traces of the ivy.  My best guess is that the ivy grew up the walls of the house, but when the fire happened, the high pressure hoses used by the fire department just knocked all of the ivy right off the walls.
