1/8

Today we visited a close friend of Em's (Camp name: Pita) who had a baby boy 5 weeks ago.  He was so sweet, and slept in my arms for a good half hour.  I avoided using a flash, so that he wouldn't freak out.  However, I learned that infants don't really stop moving, so most of the photos came out pretty blurry.

  2. DON'T USE A FLASH!! haha of all the things i've read that's the most often "rule" that i've heard. well, don't use the on camera flash because it washes people out and creates odd shadows. but i've had the same problem when photographing my pseudo-nephew...they turn out blurry or really noisey when i try to brighten them in photoshop.

  4. +1 on the flash thing. I never use flash!

btw - what mode do you shoot in? keeping your shutter speed fast enough will reduce motion blur, you can increase your ISO and de-bunk the noise in PS. Just watch that your aperature isnt too wide open that you lose focal detail.

I hope you dont mind me commenting - I think you have a good thing going!! Although I switched to canon when i left film behind, you dirty nikon you!

oh, and if you already know all of the above, feel free to disregard my advice!
